This contract opportunity invites you to collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team, providing specialized radiation therapy services to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT) Valid state license in Radiation Therapy Proven experience operating linear accelerators and delivering external beam treatments Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance standards Excellent patient communication and compassionate bedside manner Ability to collaborate seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately deliver prescribed radiation doses to patients according to oncologist orders and treatment plans Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring all safety measures are followed Educate and support patients and their families throughout the treatment process Consistently monitor patient responses and adjust therapy parameters as needed in consultation with medical staff Document treatments, maintain thorough records, and report outcomes or side effects Participate in the calibration and daily quality assurance activities for radiation therapy equipment Partner with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, and nursing staff to optimize patient care
