As a key member of the oncology team, you'll utilize advanced equipment and collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide safe and effective therapies for patients.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT) Valid state licensure as required Previous clinical experience in delivering external beam radiation therapy In-depth understanding of treatment planning and dosimetry Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and team members Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and treatment protocols
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time hours; schedule details to be provided during the interview process
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate linear accelerators and associated equipment for radiation therapy treatments Accurately position patients based on physician prescriptions and treatment plans Monitor patient responses and document all procedures and outcomes Collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, and other clinical staff for optimal patient care Ensure treatment areas meet all safety and quality standards Educate patients and families on procedures and provide ongoing support throughout therapy Uphold confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations
