1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (T) certification for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level 1 trauma facility. Details Acute care setting within the Radiation Therapy/Radiation Oncology department at a Level 1 trauma facility Adult and pediatric patient population, with minimal pediatric cases Average patient load of approximately 25 patients per linac (about 50 total) plus 6-9 CT sim patients per day Uses Varian TrueBeam and Varian Trilogy linear accelerators, and Siemens Somatom CT simulator Uses Varian ARIA Oncology Information System and EPIC for charting Radiation Oncologists on-site Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on staff Schedule is 5x8-hour or possibly 4x10-hour day shifts Weekends and holidays as scheduled, though no standard weekend or holiday requirement No call or standby requirements No floating to other areas required Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist ARRT registered Radiation Therapist certification required Current BLS certification required WV state license required if applicable Experience with IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT required Experience with Varian equipment required
EPIC EMR
experience preferred Additional Information Deliver radiation therapy treatments using advanced techniques including IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT Care for a mixed adult and pediatric oncology patient population Department-specific orientation provided Gray scrub color required Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel assignment Previous travelers who completed a full year at this facility must wait 2 years before reapplying Previous permanent staff must wait 2 years before returning as a travel employee First-time travelers may be considered with appropriate experience
