Cerner Overview We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technician to join our dedicated imaging team at . The MRI Tech will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures with precision and professionalism, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate patient assessment. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical imaging principles, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent patient care skills. The ideal candidate will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional diagnostic services in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities Operate MRI equipment to acquire detailed images of patients' internal structures, adhering to established protocols and safety standards Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and positioning them accurately Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on diagnostic requirements Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, including technical parameters and patient information Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures Assist with additional diagnostic imaging tasks such as CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, and sonography when required Monitor patient physiology during scans, recognizing and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or concerns Maintain equipment calibration, perform routine quality assurance checks, and troubleshoot technical issues Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to continually improve service quality Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all regulatory standards governing medical imaging practices Qualifications Certification or licensure as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program; additional certification in CT or sonography is a plus Proven experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities such as CT scans, DEXA scans, and ultrasound (sonography) Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control procedures Ability to interpret basic diagnostic evaluation data and assist in clinical decision-making Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams Knowledge of medical imaging safety protocols and radiation safety practices If you are committed to delivering precise diagnostic images while providing compassionate patient care, we encourage you to apply for this vital role within our healthcare team at . #
