Job Description

Overview Operates X-Ray Equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical area. Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, digital image management for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician as required. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.
Qualifications Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and possess a current ARRT registry.
Experience:
Less than one year of work experience. At least three months preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
1) Completes hospital orientation and training.2) Ability to manage sometime stressful work environment.3) Flexible to schedule; will work additional hours/shifts in situations of high census, adverse weather conditions and other employee absences or vacancies as requested. Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested.4) Ability to answer phone and relay messages.5) Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel.6) Ability to deal efficiently and continuously with all hospital personnel.7) Ability to work in a team environment and take criticism.8) Ability to operate computer terminal.
