Job Description

Category Imaging - Radiology Tech Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled professional with expertise in Imaging as a Radiology Technologist (X-ray Tech/Radiologic Technologist) for a contract opportunity. This essential healthcare role supports quality patient care through the production of clear, accurate diagnostic images and the safe management of radiologic equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) Proficiency in performing general radiology and X-ray procedures Previous experience in an acute care or outpatient imaging environment preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and radiation safety practices Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and patient interaction skills Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Responsibilities:
Operate imaging equipment to perform X-ray exams according to established protocols Adhere to proper safety standards for patients and staff, including the use of lead shields and appropriate exposure settings Accurately capture, label, and store images in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and answer questions compassionately Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to ensure optimal image quality and clinical information is obtained Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality at all times Help maintain equipment through routine cleaning and basic troubleshooting Stay current with continuing education and advancements in imaging technology This is a temporary contract opportunity ideal for a detail-oriented, dependable imaging professional who values collaborative care and patient well-being.
