Job Description

Position Overview:
The Logistics Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods within the supply chain. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory, material handling, storing, and shipping finished products. The Logistics Technician works closely with manufacturing, procurement, and other team members to ensure that all logistics operations are performed smoothly, that meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels. Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories. Report discrepancies and coordinate with the inventory control team to resolve issues. Process incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and ensure proper documentation. Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring they meet quality and delivery standards. Operate and maintain equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. Transport materials to and from various locations within the facility. Accurately pick items from inventory according to work orders, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities. Inspect products for damage or defects during receiving and shipping processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety in the workplace.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 1 year or more of experience in a logistics, warehousing, or supply chain role. Forklift certification or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective Communication and Teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
