Job Description

Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Advance your career as a specialized CT/PET technologist in a hospital setting known for its expertise in trauma, stroke care, and neonatal intensive care. This contract position offers the opportunity to utilize advanced imaging technology while working with a diverse patient population including inpatient, outpatient, adult, and occasional pediatric cases.
Schedule/Hours:
Weekend rotation typically once a month, subject to departmental needs Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday, in accordance with facility policy On-call coverage available on a voluntary basis
Qualifications:
Active ARRT certification required (ARRT-CT for CT Techs) Current BLS certification mandatory State license for CT technologists is preferred Minimum of one year of imaging experience with strong proficiency in required skills for travelers; first-time travelers must have at least two years' experience Expertise in CT-guided procedures such as biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, angiograms, and, ideally, stroke perfusion studies Familiarity with Cerner EMR and GE CT equipment
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality CT and PET imaging for both scheduled and emergency procedures across the main radiology department and its satellite areas Accurately handle adult and pediatric patient imaging, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio and averaging four patients per hour Adapt to various roles within the department, including potential floating to support different imaging areas as needed Collaborate with clinical teams in a facility recognized as a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Level
III NICU
