Job Description
Weekend Option Radiologic Technologist Chambers Memorial Hospital is seeking a Weekend Option Radiologic Technologist to join our dedicated Radiology team. This position offers a unique weekend schedule. Schedule Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Position Summary Under the supervision of the Radiology Director, the Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury. This role supports both Emergency Room and inpatient imaging services. Equipment Work with state-of-the-art imaging technology, including: Siemens Digital X-Ray Room Siemens Digital Portable X-Ray Unit Siemens Go.
Up CT Scanner Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians. Select appropriate technical factors and imaging protocols. Position patients and equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Explain procedures and provide patient instructions. Administer contrast media as directed by a Radiologist or Physician. Operate portable radiographic equipment throughout the hospital. Monitor imaging equipment performance and functionality. Utilize RIS and other imaging systems to verify patient schedules and orders. Follow radiation safety standards and maintain patient confidentiality. Provide compassionate care to patients experiencing physical or emotional distress.
