4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday- Friday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekend and holiday.This position is based within
Jefferson Regional Radiology Department Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Radiologic Technologist, Rad Tech Externs are responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiographs and related procedures by utilizing the appropriate equipment to perform high quality imaging. This position is also responsible for following established standards and procedures, and reviewing images to determining necessary adjustment for optimum results.Radiology Tech Extern Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Enrolled in an AMA approved Radiologic Technologist Program with successful passing of Junior Comprehensive Final and in good standing. BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within 30 days of hire. This is a safety sensitive position.•Minimum RequirementsMust be knowledgeable in, medical terminology, and possess generalized skills in medical imaging, general and other special procedures that are performed within the department. Strong interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards.Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality imagesAbility to work and collaborate with a teamAbility to learn quickly and adapt to new radiology technology and techniques.
