• 1.

Is an expert MRI Technologist and may serve as a Preceptor in the skills to perform diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists. 2. Is an expert, and may serve as a Preceptor, in the utilization of correct scan protocols while optimizing image quality, decreasing scan length and repeat procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of patient positioning and coil selection. 3. May serve as a Preceptor to properly screen patients, families, and staff with attention to pregnancy and MRI contraindications. 4. May serve as a Preceptor in adhering to all safety recommendations regarding MRI. 5. Ensures that work area is properly maintained. 6. May serve as a Preceptor in troubleshooting and reporting malfunctioning equipment. 7. Assists with service recovery, ensuring proactive communication with patients and families. 8. Participates in performance improvement activities. Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
