You will work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver fast, accurate imaging in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities Diagnostic Imaging :
Operate CT equipment and processing systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images following departmental protocols.
Patient Care & Safety :
Prepare and position patients safely; explain procedures clearly to alleviate anxiety; verify orders and screen for contraindications.
Contrast & Interventional Support :
Administer contrast media, perform point-of-care creatinine testing/GFR calculations, monitor for reactions, and assist with interventional CT procedures (biopsies, drain placements).
Quality & Collaboration :
Review images for technical accuracy, document clinical history, collaborate with radiologists, and perform daily equipment quality control checks. Maintain clean work area, adhere to radiation and infection control safety guidelines, respond to medical emergencies, and ensure reliable attendance.
Qualifications Required :
1-2 years of clinical experience acquired through an accredited radiologic sciences program required Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required CT•Computed Tomography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire required BCLS•Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
Preferred :
2-4 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred (R) ARDMS or ARRT•Radiographer preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in operating CT scanners and handling patient transfers safely using lift equipment. Knowledge of aseptic, surgical, and radiologic techniques. Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.
