1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT-R certification for an acute care hospital setting. Details Acute care hospital with 392 staffed beds X-Ray Tech unit Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM 13-week assignment Every other weekend coverage required Patient ratio of 1:40 Uses Meditech charting system Performs a wide range of imaging including abdomen, upper and lower extremity, spine, chest, head, and trauma studies Conducts fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, myelography, and upper GI series Performs mobile and surgical procedures including C-arm and portable chest/abdomen imaging Works across multiple settings including Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ED, ICU, NICU, OR, and PICU, with Pediatric Acute Care and Pediatric Outpatient preferred Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba imaging equipment along with PACS and O-ARM systems Any scrub color permitted Free parking available on-site Requirements ARRT-R certification required BLS certification required CRT (California Radiologic Technologist) certification required License required if applicable Compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission Minimum of 1 year experience required Community hospital experience required Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Epic EMR experience required Prior travel experience required Experience with contrast media preparation and administration Knowledge of radiation safety practices Infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE experience preferred Management or lead experience preferred O-ARM equipment experience preferred Additional Information Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate Former permanent staff may return as travelers after 3 months if living outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Candidates must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities, including dates and location 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the region First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
