In this vital role, you will operate fluoroscopy equipment to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, providing real-time imaging that guides patient care. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and improved patient outcomes. This position offers an engaging environment where your technical skills and medical knowledge make a meaningful difference every day. Duties Prepare patients for fluoroscopic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring proper positioning to obtain optimal images. Operate fluoroscopy equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Assist physicians during procedures by adjusting imaging equipment, capturing high-quality images, and ensuring clear visualization of internal structures. Maintain detailed records of procedures, including patient information, imaging results, and any observations relevant to diagnostic evaluation. Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and ready for use; report any malfunctions immediately. Follow strict infection control practices and maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care. Skills Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy and other medical imaging devices. California Fluoro technician License Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology to accurately position patients and interpret imaging results. Knowledge of medical terminology related to radiology, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members while providing compassionate care. Basic troubleshooting skills for imaging equipment maintenance and calibration. Awareness of radiation safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff during fluoroscopic procedures.
