Position Summary Lucent Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging center in Glendale. The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic mammograms using digital mammography and 3D tomosynthesis technology. This role requires strong technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, patient sensitivity, and strict adherence to MQSA and ACR standards. Key Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols. Operate digital mammography and 3D tomosynthesis equipment safely and effectively. Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality images and optimal visualization of breast tissue. Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, and obtain relevant medical history. Evaluate images for positioning and technical quality before submitting them for interpretation. Explain procedures clearly and provide reassurance throughout the examination. Assist with breast ultrasound or biopsy procedures when appropriately trained and credentialed. Maintain accurate patient records, quality-control logs, and documentation required for MQSA compliance. Perform required equipment quality-control testing and report any equipment or image-quality concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-ready examination environment. Follow HIPAA, radiation-safety, infection-control, and patient-safety requirements. Collaborate with radiologists, imaging staff, and front-office team members to support efficient patient flow. Qualifications Required Active ARRT certification in Radiography, ARRT(R) . Active ARRT certification in Mammography, ARRT(M) . Active California Certified Radiologic Technologist certificate. Active California Mammographic Radiologic Technology Certificate. Current MQSA qualifications. Required training and qualification in digital mammography and 3D tomosynthesis. Strong knowledge of mammographic positioning, image quality, and radiation safety. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately. Preferred Previous screening and diagnostic mammography experience. Experience working in an outpatient imaging center. Experience assisting with breast ultrasound or biopsy procedures. Experience using RIS/PACS and electronic medical record systems. Compensation Hourly Pay Range:
