1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a Radiology - Diagnostic unit, requiring ARRT-R certification and at least two years of x-ray tech experience including portables and c-arms. Details Diagnostic Radiology department 8-hour shifts with start times ranging between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule including every other weekend Requirements ARRT-R certification required RT license required in state of practice (CA and HI) BLS certification from an approved vendor required Fluoroscopy license required in state of employment (required in CA within 6 months of hire) Associate's Degree in radiologic technology preferred At least 2 years of x-ray tech experience required, including portables and c-arms License required if applicable Additional Information Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by physicians Position and instruct patients prior to exams and adjust equipment settings including voltage, current, and exposure time Explain procedures to patients and answer questions Prepare equipment and exam rooms for patient exams Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams Document exam information and report important findings to physicians Verify exams on PACS No radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
