Position Summary Lucent Medical Imaging is seeking an experienced CT & X-Ray Technologist to join our outpatient imaging center in Glendale. The CT & X-Ray Technologist performs a full range of CT and general radiographic examinations while delivering exceptional patient care. This dual-modality role supports efficient workflow and contributes to a positive patient experience in a busy outpatient environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Care Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and their families. Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, and obtain relevant medical history. Explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and encourage patient cooperation. Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout each examination. Imaging and Technical Performance Perform CT and general X-ray examinations according to established protocols. Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Select appropriate imaging parameters while following low-dose radiation practices. Perform CT image reconstruction and post-processing as needed. Evaluate images for positioning, motion, artifacts, and overall technical quality. Process, archive, and transmit images through
RIS/PACS
systems. Monitor patient flow while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Contrast Administration and Safety Screen patients for contraindications, allergies, pregnancy, and other safety concerns. Start and maintain IV lines and administer contrast within scope of practice and according to physician orders and facility protocols. Monitor patients for contrast reactions and respond according to established procedures. Document and report contrast reactions, extravasations, and other adverse events. Follow radiation-safety, infection-control, HIPAA, and patient-safety requirements. Teamwork and Quality Communicate relevant clinical information to radiologists and other members of the care team. Collaborate with front-office staff, technologists, and medical personnel to maintain efficient operations. Perform required equipment quality-assurance checks and report malfunctions promptly. Participate in quality-assurance programs, accreditation activities, and regulatory inspections. Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Active ARRT certification in Radiography, ARRT(R) . Active California Certified Radiologic Technologist certificate. Current Basic Life Support certification. Previous clinical experience performing CT examinations. Knowledge of CT and general radiographic imaging protocols. Ability to perform venipuncture and administer contrast within the applicable scope of practice and facility requirements. Strong technical, communication, multitasking, and patient-care skills. Preferred Qualifications ARRT certification in Computed Tomography, ARRT(CT) . Previous experience in an outpatient imaging center. Experience with RIS/PACS and electronic medical record systems. Compensation Hourly Pay Range:
