Job Description

This position includes an Incentive of $15,000 and a Relocation Incentive of $3,000 to eligible new hires. This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This Lead IR Tech role requires a rotation of after-hours call coverage, flexibility throughout the week (including weekends and holiday call). The position is located at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla. Main responsibilities include : Responsible for providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team. Monitor that appropriate equipment is available for procedures Train staff and maintain competency level of 2-3 techs Adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participates in QC and Pl activities; maintains own clinical competency and mandatory requirements. Functions as liaison between state and federal agencies for licensure, certification, and QA requirements for the entire Interventional Radiology department. Maintains all records as needed to verify that regulations are being maintained at all times. Responsible for charge reconciliation audits for procedures performed in IR department The following are not eligible for hiring incentives: Internal candidates Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago New Graduates (Must have at least 1 year of experience) In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
