Where You'll Work Founded in 1938, Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a 25-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Mt. Shasta, California. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. Performs all radiographic procedures with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, positioning and technical factors to produce quality diagnostic images. Performs CT exams according to department routine. Demonstrates professional demeanor, ability to triage multiple requests and asks for assistance when appropriate. Coordinates work flow with medical center co-workers in a cooperative and collaborative manner. Demonstrates awareness of radiation safety principles, Joint Commission requirements, and all applicable Federal, State and local regulations.
