Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Technician to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will perform high-quality mammography procedures to assist in early detection and diagnosis of breast health issues. Your expertise will contribute to patient care by ensuring accurate imaging, maintaining safety standards, and providing compassionate support throughout the imaging process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced healthcare environment committed to excellence in diagnostic radiology. Responsibilities Prepare patients for mammography procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns with professionalism and empathy Operate mammography equipment to capture clear, detailed breast images while adhering to safety protocols and aseptic techniques Ensure proper positioning of patients to optimize image quality and diagnostic accuracy Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to review images for quality assurance and diagnostic evaluation Follow infection control procedures, including sterilization of equipment and maintaining a clean work environment Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and participate in ongoing training to enhance skills Qualifications Certification as a Mammography Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification in Mammography) or equivalent credential Proven experience performing mammography procedures in a clinical setting, preferably within a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-volume facility Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles Familiarity with additional imaging modalities such as DEXA scans, PET scans, CT scans, X-ray, sonography, and nuclear medicine is highly desirable Strong understanding of aseptic technique, radiation safety practices, and patient positioning techniques Experience working in urgent care or emergency room environments is a plus Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations and team members Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and Level II trauma center experience are advantageous Join us in making a difference through precise imaging that saves lives! $70.33 - $89.20 per hour
