Job Description

Mammography Technologist Location:
Rancho Mirage, CA Employment Type:
Full-Time / Contract (through Nextaff) Responsibilities Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to physician orders and established protocols. Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns. Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Operate and maintain mammography equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Review images for technical quality and repeat studies when necessary. Follow all radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care. Ensure compliance with MQSA, ACR, HIPAA, and facility policies. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R). ARRT Mammography (M) certification required. Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
