Job Description

Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract This opportunity is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician skilled in cardiac imaging to provide essential support in a busy interventional cardiology setting. This role offers a 40-hour workweek, with on-call duties every third weekend and two weekdays, ensuring vital coverage during critical procedures.
Qualifications & Required Certifications:
Certified Radiology Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)) Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) certification Valid Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH) license
Schedule & Hours:
Primarily 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and/or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On-call responsibilities every other weekend (weekends call only every other weekend) and two weekdays 40 hours per week, contract position
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain cath lab imaging equipment for cardiac and vascular procedures Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality imaging Prepare patients for procedures, including explanation and monitoring vitals Maintain sterile environment and follow infection control protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care Document procedures and maintain accurate records
