Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by stepping into a dynamic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role in a school-based setting near Jewett City, CT! As an RBT, you will collaborate closely with students, educators, and other professionals to implement effective behavior intervention plans and support a positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Previous experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in educational settings Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Compassion, patience, and a passion for helping students reach their fullest potential
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct 1:1 or small group behavioral interventions as prescribed by supervising BCBA Track and document student progress and behavioral data with accuracy and attention to detail Support classroom staff and teachers in managing behaviors and fostering a supportive atmosphere Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and regular supervision Adjust intervention strategies as directed, based on data and student response Foster respectful, encouraging relationships with students, families, and colleagues This position offers the opportunity to work on a contract basis—perfect for those interested in a flexible and rewarding school-centered experience.
