Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Discover an opportunity to make a real impact as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting high school students in a special education setting near Norwich, Connecticut. This full-time, contract role is ideal for a compassionate professional ready to provide hands-on behavioral and educational support within a collaborative school environment. You will work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, providing personalized assistance that empowers students to thrive academically and socially. Compensation for this position ranges from $22.43-$30.23 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 behavioral and educational support to a high school student participating in a special education program. Implement tailored behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs under the guidance of a qualified supervisor. Facilitate students' growth in communication, socialization, academic abilities, adaptive, and independent living skills. Provide ongoing support in the classroom and during extracurricular activities, encouraging inclusion and engagement. Collect and accurately record behavioral data and progress on skill acquisition. Contribute to a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment by following established procedures. Assist students with transitions, daily routines, and participation in school activities.

Required Qualifications:

Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or eligibility to obtain/maintain certification. Completion of RBT training and competency standards. High school diploma or GED. Ability to pass required background checks and school-specific clearances. Experience working with children or adolescents with special education needs. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior intervention techniques, and data recording.
