As an Echo Technician specializing in imaging and echocardiography, you'll be exposed to a variety of workplace practices and leadership styles. This hands-on experience is an excellent way to enhance your expertise and strengthen your resume with diverse patient populations and the latest imaging techniques. Periods of downtime invite exploration—whether you prefer city festivals, nature walks at Sleeping Giant State Park, or sampling Hamden's renowned local cuisine.
Key Qualifications:
Certification as an Echo Tech (ARDMS or CCI preferred) Experience performing adult and pediatric echocardiograms Proficient with imaging equipment and electronic medical records (EMR) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Current BLS certification
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic cardiac echo studies as ordered by physicians Document and analyze imaging results promptly and accurately Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as necessary Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards
