Are you with us?!? Ahlstrom is seeking Maintenance Mechanics / Multi-Craft Technicians for all shifts to work in a variety of fields, all centered around machinery. This is a prime position with comprehensive pay, benefits and advancement opportunity for individuals with experience in a manufacturing environment.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery to ensure operational efficiency in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Key responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and conducting repairs using hand and power tools. They also follow safety regulations, use technical manuals, and keep detailed records of all maintenance activities. .
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of machinery. Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems. Assist Engineering with system improvement projects and retrofits of old equipment. Participate in continuous improvement teams and root cause analysis for machine breakdowns.
REQUIREMENTS
The ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints is critical. Proficiency in Hydraulics and pneumatics Familiarity with preventive, predictive, and general maintenance processes Ability to use Microsoft Office products SAP experience preferred but not required Must be flexible to work off shift when required. Significant bonus payment for call-ins Must be able to participate in the week-end rotational shift, approximately once every other month, with bonus payments. 1st shift: 6:30am 0 2:30pm 2nd shift: 2:00pm•10:30pm 3rd shift: 10:00pm•6:30am

Safety is the top priority in industrial maintenance and technicians must have a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures. They must have the ability to recognize and avoid potential hazards, such as electrical shock, fire, and chemical exposure, they must wear all PPE and follow all the company policies and procedures. Troubleshoot, analyze, and diagnose corrective action for a wide range of manufacturing equipment when failures occur. Assure all work is properly documented within the Maintenance Work Order system. This includes full documentation of preventative and proactive maintenance. Perform routine and emergency work in support of the Division asset management objectives to optimize equipment performance and extend service life. Mechanical, instrumentation, piping fitting, welding, or other craft skills as necessary to make emergency repairs. Needs to be able to rebuild and align pumps, work on steam and condensate systems, rebuild pistons, rig out equipment, MIG, TIG•all types of metal, install piping, rebuild, and check out pump seals, use milling machine, lathes and other machining equipment, install and fabricate belts and other mechanical and piping duties. Perform work in accordance good maintenance practice and safety program objectives to achieve high quality results. Assume a leadership role when required to coordinate efforts of others in meeting company objectives. Provide training and instruction to maintenance craftspeople as required.
Minimum Occupational Requirements:
Vocational Training (or equivalent) 4-6 years' experience in industrial mechanics, working with machine shop, rigging, instrumentation, fabricating, millwright equipment. An exhibited aptitude for working effectively with others, and alone is also required. Use a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment to perform maintenance installation, repair and rebuild of production equipment and facilities This position is additionally responsible as part of the manufacturing flexibility program to cross-train and be fully qualified to work in an at least one other alternate position within the manufacturing operation
Physical Occupational Requirements:
