As a Lead MRI Technologist, you'll guide daily operations, support your team, and grow your career in an innovative, patient-centered environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead and coordinate daily MRI operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a seamless patient experience Serve as a trusted resource and mentor to MRI team members, supporting a culture of collaboration and excellence Develop staffing and on-call schedules to meet department needs while supporting work-life balance Take on in charge responsibilities, guiding the team and ensuring high-quality care delivery Perform MRI procedures using advanced technology to produce accurate, diagnostic-quality images Apply your expertise in MRI anatomy and pathophysiology to support clinical decision-making alongside radiologists Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care at every interaction Contribute to a positive environment for patients, physicians, and team members Support continuous improvement initiatives and help drive innovation within the department Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new team members and students Perform venipuncture and support medication processes as needed Participate in on-call rotation to support patient care needs Why Lee Health? Radiology or MRI degree graduates accepted. Graduation of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program.
Experience Requirements :
Minimum of two (2) years of recent MRI experience. Ideal candidate would have 3-5 yrs experience.
Licensure Requirements :
Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only. MRI degree for non-radiology techs.
Certifications/Registration Requirements :
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) Required Preferred MRSO certification through American Board of Magnet Resonance (Magnetic Resident Safety Officer) ARRT Registered or eligible required. Summary "Coordinates daily MRI department operations and workflow. Acts as a resource to all staff. Accepts assigned duties such as developing work and on-call staffing schedules. Accepts ""in charge"" responsibilities as appropriate. Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector in order to produce diagnostic quality MRI images. Understands the computer software of the MRI scanners and maintains competency in MRI area. Consistently applies working knowledge pertaining to MRI anatomy and patho-physiology to produce a high standard of quality images while under the direction of a radiologist. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Required to participate in ""on-call"" rotation as determined by specific department needs."
Requirements Education:
Graduation of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree Program.
Experience:
