Job Description
Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced MRI Lead Technologist for our busy Specialty Practice. The MRI Lead Technologist performs daily oversight for all MRI technologists to facilitate the efficient operations of the department. The MRI Lead Technologist will work closely with the Department Manager to promote on-going quality, productivity, customer service, supervision, effective, and efficient operations within the MRI Department. This position requires travel to any CSNF clinic or location that provides Imaging services to patients. The MRI Lead position must be available to work a flexible work schedule. The Lead MRI Technologist works under the general direction of the Imaging Manager with the clinical supervision of the reading physician performs examination of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Performs ordered examinations MRI of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during the transport to and from the mobile coach/facility, and during the exam Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs Under guidance and approval of supervising physician, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient Provides images to the radiologist in the desired format Assist management with input and/or addressing various personnel issues. Assist management with hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other related employee relations matters. Orient new employees by provide training, ongoing education and staff development. Ensures on-boarding of new employees is thorough and new employees is comfortable and confident. Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members If applicable, assists with the set up and/or shut down of equipment in accordance with CSNF and/or manufacturers' guidelines Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. EMR charges, QA, Imaging Assessments) Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures Conducts and updates MRI Safety Training for all staff Assists and helps oversee MRI clearances for patients Communicates with MRI Radiologist and CSNF physicians related to patient safety, MRI clearances, policies and procedures. Ensures that MRI equipment is maintained and PM's are performed. Maintains current permits to practice All other duties as assigned Full-time Position, Monday -
