Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will perform CT scans per physician orders, verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure safety and comfort. Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, managing contrast studies, following radiation and infection control standards, and documenting exams in PACS. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical teams. Responsibilities Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols Verify patient identification, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the exam Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners and related imaging and PACS systems Screen patients for contraindications, contrast allergies, and maintain accurate documentation Administer or assist with contrast media following safety and infection control standards Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to ensure timely, accurate diagnostic results Maintain exam rooms, equipment cleanliness, and radiation safety compliance Participate in on-call/PRN coverage, supporting variable shifts as patient volume requires Required Skills Computed tomography (CT) scanning Operation of CT scanners and imaging equipment PACS and RIS systems Patient positioning and immobilization IV contrast administration and safety Radiation safety and ALARA principles Basic life support (BLS) Anatomy and cross-sectional imaging knowledge Exam documentation and EMR usage Infection control and patient safety protocols
