Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Limited X-Ray Technician or X-Ray Technician to join our privately owned urgent care in the heart of Parrish. In this vital role, you will operate a portable X-Ray. You will be cross-trained in front desk and clinical duties. Your expertise will contribute to efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety, precision, and compassion at every step. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical and clinical skills. Responsibilities Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam Operate the portable X-ray machine with precision and adherence to safety protocols Maintain strict aseptic technique standards to prevent contamination during procedures Collaborate with physicians to perform diagnostic evaluations. Perform Medical Assistant duties by rooming patients, taking vitals, administering medications, and IV placement. Perform Front Desk duties by warmly greeting patients, checking them in, and verifying insurance and eligibility. Ensure accurate documentation of imaging procedures, patient information, and technical details in medical records Follow all radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure Assist in quality control checks and routine maintenance of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles Experience with a variety of imaging modalities including X-ray Familiarity with portable X-Ray techniques in the urgent care setting Ability to perform diagnostic evaluation accurately under pressure in urgent care or emergency settings Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control standards Understanding of medical imaging safety regulations and radiation protection measures Be a team player and promote growth for other team members.
