  • must be able to interview patients, take vitals, and explain procedures
  • Prepare exam room using aseptic technique to ensure quality patient care standards are maintained prior to and post injections
  • set up sterile tray and assist physician in drawing up the necessary medications for the patient
  • Have proficient c-arm skills to allow accuracy of the doctors' injections, modifying techniques to achieve optimal images. Procedures include but are not limited to epidurals, facet injections, Kyphoplasties, SCS trails, radiofrequency ablations, bursa/joint injections, trigger point injections, Discograms, Myoblocs, Spheno-caths, PRP's, Bone Marrow, and Ultrasound TPI's and bursa/joints
  • maintain and document records related to patients' condition during visit
  • perform before and after care for the patient (i.e., getting patient dressed, getting patient on and off table and/or into a wheelchair, etc.) and review post procedure instructions
  • maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and personnel by following procedures for radiation protection, personal protective equipment, infection control, and disposal of hazardous waste and sharps
