Job Description

Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract A highly skilled CT Technologist is sought for a specialized role in Gray, GA, within a large teaching hospital recognized for its Level 1 Trauma Designation, Chest Pain, and Stroke Centers. This opportunity requires a technologist with at least four years of CT experience, adept at working with inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room cases. The role offers a contract position with a structured 12-hour day shift schedule (36 hours per week), working Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and expects coverage during approximately 75% of holidays within the contract period. No weekend rotation or on-call duties are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality CT imaging using GE scanners and manage images through Philips PACS. Conduct IV starts ensuring patient safety and comfort. Maintain accurate patient records in the EPIC electronic medical record system. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Participate in orientation programs including a comprehensive New Employee Orientation and departmental training. Adhere to the department's inclusive culture and professional standards, including designated scrub colors.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum four years of CT technologist experience. Registered Technologist (ARRT) certification in CT. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Competent in IV start procedures. Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, preferred. Previous experience with Philips PACS and GE imaging equipment.
