MRI Technologist•
Technologists are responsible for completing provider-ordered MRI procedures according to established protocols while maintaining compliance with MRI safety, patient care, and regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform MRI imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocolsEnsure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging proceduresObtain patient history and complete MRI safety screenings and documentationOperate MRI scanners and associated imaging equipment safely and effectivelyMaintain high-quality imaging standards to support accurate diagnosesCommunicate with radiologists and providers regarding imaging protocols when neededMaintain compliance with MRI safety standards and regulatory guidelinesCoordinate with care teams to support efficient patient workflowMaintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with department standardsQualificationsEducationGraduate of an accredited Radiology program requiredCertificationsARRT(R) requiredMRI registry required within 12 months of hireBLS certification requiredAdditional RequirementsStrong patient care and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-based environmentCommitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered carePrior MRI experience preferred, but technologists growing into MRI may be consideredTechnologists who are not yet MRI registered will have 12 months to complete their MRI registry, and the facility will cover the cost of certification.
