License:
Current State license as Radiologic Technologist.
Certifications:
Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Must-Have:
Current BLS certification.
Description:
Prepares and performs a variety of CT procedures. Provides patient care during procedures. Typical physical demands include finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking. Frequent activities involve sitting, walking, stooping/bending, and lifting weights up to a maximum of 50 pounds. Employees may also be required to carry a usual weight of 50 pounds and reach above shoulder level. Static gripping of an object for prolonged periods is also common. Occasional activities include standing, kneeling, squatting, twisting the body, and carrying a usual weight of 25 pounds. Infrequent tasks may require pushing/pulling a maximum weight of 50 pounds of force. Typical working conditions involve limited exposure to adverse environmental factors. There may be exposure to communicable diseases. Candidates should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff.
