GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction and supervision of the Radiologist and the Director, Ancillary Operations. The CT Tech performs a variety of radiologic procedures including routine and special CT procedures within the limits of standard procedures of the Imaging Services Department. Position has "on call" responsibilities including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Performs the additional duties of general radiology and procedures as needed.PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 1.
Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with Medical Center policy & procedure. 2. Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to changes in workload, schedule, department function and procedures 3. Actively participates in creating a positive and harmonious work environment by demonstrating teamwork and cooperative, responsive behaviors. 4. Meets/exceeds competency criteria specific to the task/duties of the position. 5. Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence consistent with hospital-wide unit-specific standards. 6. Completes all annual hospital-wide mandatory training within defined timeframe (i.e. safety, corporate compliance, confidentiality). 7. Demonstrates competence in specified computer applications. 8. Completes work with less than 5% error rate for image quality. 9. Utilizes time wisely. completing all patient exams in a timely manner. assisting others and performing departmental duties as needed. These duties may include restocking, housekeeping, patient safety and compliance improvements and inspection readiness. 10. Completes ASAP exams within one hour or as directed by radiologist and reports all stat exams within one hour.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. 2. Certification by theA.R.R.T. 3.
Valid Iowa permit to practice. 4. One (1) year CT experience or cross-trained at Broadlawns Medical Center. 5. Ability to consistently meet the department work schedule as designated. 6. Consistently demonstrates a team approach to care. 7. Demonstrates effective communication strategies. 8. Familiarity with general computer applications.
