1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist requiring a minimum of 36 months of CT experience and Level II trauma experience for a 13-week assignment in Des Moines, IA. Details CT Scan unit within a hospital/medical center setting Monday-Thursday night shift, 9:30 PM-7:00 AM, 40 hours/week No weekend or on-call requirements May float across campuses including Iowa Lutheran, Methodist West, and Iowa Methodist Medical Center Holiday rotation required unless the unit is closed Patient population includes all ages, varying by shift Uses Siemens and GE CT equipment Utilizes power injection contrast injectors
EMR:
Epic Requirements Minimum of 36 months of CT/Computed Tomography experience required, hospital/medical center experience prioritized Proficient experience with Siemens CT equipment required; GE CT experience preferred Epic experience required Experience with power injection contrast injectors required Experience with all age groups required, shift dependent Level II trauma experience required; recent Level I trauma experience highly preferred Recent stroke imaging experience required Active IA radiology license highly preferred; will consider candidates in the licensing process (license required if applicable) ARRT certification required BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required Valid driver's license required Professional reference from a supervisor, charge, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred Additional Information Perform CT imaging procedures across all age groups using Siemens and GE CT equipment Administer power injection contrast as part of imaging procedures Charcoal gray scrubs required Contractors required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed Winter holiday coverage requires working 2 of 3 holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving) with limited time-off requests during peak holiday periods Local candidates not accepted; all candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation First-time travelers may be considered
