Job Description:
Join us at an exciting time as Beacon Clinic launches its brand-new outpatient PET/CT service line. This is a unique opportunity for motivated Technologists to play a key role in building the program from the ground up. As a valued member of our compassionate and collaborative community oncology team, you will help shape workflows, establish best practices, and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care. Ideal candidates are confident problem-solvers, comfortable working independently, and eager to contribute to a service and team that will make a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives of our patients. Supervises, organizes and coordinates the overall operation of diagnostic imaging, including staffing and work assignments of the Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) and nuclear medicine technologists, diagnostic imaging aides, and student radiographers. Directs, implements and updates policies, procedures and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen radiation protection/safety measures. Ensures the timely delivery of accurate imaging services and oversees the efficient maintenance and operation of all PET/CT & nuclear medicine equipment. Serves as the liaison between diagnostic imaging and staff, physicians, patients, family and other hospital staff. Routinely performs all duties of a nuclear medicine technologist, as needed. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assesses and monitors the nuclear medicine & PET/CT workload and assigns duties, reviews film, adjusts assignments, and provides input and assistance during difficult studies. Ensures the completion of routine and priority (emergency and triage) imaging tasks within established departmental time frames, including stepping in to perform nuclear medicine & PET/CT exams as needed. Performs a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine examinations. Performs complex PET/CT procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, human physiology, and equipment. Operates complex stationery diagnostic equipment. Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames. Prepares for and assists physicians in a variety of nuclear medicine diagnostic and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures. Explains and educates the patient on the procedure, medications or contrast media, and associated biological effects in a clear and professional manner to alleviate fear and anxiety. Mentors and fosters a constructive teaching environment that helps students and new technologists build confidence in their skills, knowledge and abilities. Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
NMT-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist OR ARRT (NM)

- American Register of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (CT)
- Radiography
- American Register of Radiologic Technologists if required at the affiliate OR CRT
- Certified Radiologic Technologist if required at the affiliate BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider 5+ year of experience in PET/CT 2+ year of management or supervisory experience Strong leadership skills Knowledge of state and federal regulations and safety and quality standards.
Proficient in using imaging equipment and software and PACS. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
