Job Description
Be a part of a world-class academic health-care system at Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a MRI/Nuclear Medicine Supervisor in the Radiology Department. Here, under the supervision of the Manager, Radiologic Services, you will give direction to assigned personnel and supervise the daily operation of diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages, at all CHHD sites; Harvey, Calumet City, Flossmoor and Tinley Park. The MRI Supervisor also participates in Radiologic Quality Assurance Committees and hospital based TQM/CQI activities as requested. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Essential Job Functions:
Press Ganey Goal at all locations to achieve 75 th percentile Maintains department operations within budgetary guidelines Ensures all charges are appropriately entered, daily Ensures all exams are read by radiologist, daily Monitors consistent employee labor productivity Monitors employee attendance and tardiness regularly Facilitate monthly department meetings including all locations Manage and maintains MDI, Daily Readiness and learning board; tracks metrics for reporting for all locations Responsible for finding department coverage during staffing shortages and call-offs for all shifts and locations Process Kronos timecards for all employees Assures job-related in-services for staff personnel are held on a regular basis Assure annual licensure, certifications and E-Learnings are current Responsible for new hire orientation to facility and department Prepares employee performance evaluation based upon objective, measurable documentation within 30 days of required due date Ensure PRIDE values and 7 Standards of Care are followed Prepares and oversees the renewal of IEMA, MQSA, NAPBC, DNV and ACR Accreditations Ensure QC procedures are completed and results are reviewed /appropriate at all sites (3) to maintain ARRT, ACR and IEMA accredation Ensures the performance of daily quality control on instrumentation per department protocols Ensure annual proficiencies are complete by each staff member at all locations Maintain all records and documentation as required for personnel for DNV and IDPH Inspections Maintains, prepares and presents data at Infection Control meetings Maintains, prepares and presents data at Quality and Safety meetings Adhere to all prescribed safety procedures in the performance of their duties Report and manage equipment outages to Trimedx and leadership with consistent updates immediately Maintains MQSA standards to ensure that all mammograms are read within the 30- day time period set by

Maintains system for obtaining outside films Ensures that all forms are current and up to date Submit order sets to P&T committee Participates with in-service educational programs Attends relevant workshops and conferences as available Attends seminars to enhance leadership and technical skills Formulates written goals and objectives, and reviews annually with manager and director Seeks education and learning experience in areas of identified growth needs and review progress during annual evaluation Attends all Radiology Leadership and CHHD meetings
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technologists and certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), advanced certification in MR and Nuclear Medicine Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Requires a minimum of 5 years- experience as a staff technologist with some supervisory experience desirable Proven experience record and professional organization membership is required CPR certification
