POSITION SUMMARY
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist II provides patient centered service as an imaging technologist in Computed Tomography. Under the direction of the radiologist, the CT Technologist independently performs CT exams and procedures at a technical level. The CT Technologist administers ionizing radiation for adequate diagnostic quality while abiding by ALARA guidelines and meeting all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care. QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Graduate of JRCERT accredited school of Radiology and Graduate of a CT certification program
Licensure/ Certification:
- Radiology License Radiology Registration IEMA license in Radiography, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine Radiology Registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Registry American Heart Association (BLS)
CT Certification Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Must have competency, as evidenced by the standardized competency tool, in 1 of the 7 specialty areas: Traumas, Strokes, IR/CT Procedures, Virtual Colonoscopies, Pediatrics, Cardiacs(All protocols), or 3D(neuro and body).
