1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with experience in procedural radiology settings, including peripheral vascular, embolization, and interventional neurology procedures. Details Vascular Interventional Radiology (IR) department within a Heart & Vascular Institute Patient population includes those requiring invasive cardiology or invasive radiology studies Procedures include peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes (G-tube, cholecystostomy, nephrostomy, biliary, abscess, suprapubic catheter), embolization (venous and arterial), venous thrombectomy, dialysis access (AV fistulas, tunneled dialysis catheters, peritoneal dialysis catheters), and neuro cases (cerebral arterial/venous, kyphoplasty) Epic EMR — experience required Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM 36 hours per week, 8-hour shifts Weekend and holiday coverage via call rotation only Requirements Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology Current BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) ARRT Radiography (R) certification IEMA Radiography License — license required if applicable Epic charting experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Minimum 1 year of relevant Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting Ability to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures Manual dexterity to handle small supplies Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information Responsibilities include administering contrast material via existing IV or venipuncture, assessing patients for allergies, accurately reporting intra-procedural medication doses, radiation counts, and sponge/sharp counts to the procedural nurse Experience with Interventional Neurology is preferred Candidate interviews are conducted by the facility's hiring leader Candidates who have been on assignment at this facility for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
