JOB DESCRIPTION
Radiologic Technologist identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients, family members and others. Technologist will ensure operability of radiology equipment and report problems to supervisor. Technologist is responsible for production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, observing radiographic results and making necessary adjustments while maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Technologist will acquire images by properly preparing patient for radiological procedure, positioning patient and manipulating equipment into specified position. Technologist will follow the ALARA principles to set exposure factors necessary to obtain quality images. Technologist will protect patients and employees by adhering to radiation safety, infection-control policies and protocols and HIPAA compliance policies. Technologist will maintain professional and technical knowledge in compliance the ARRT continuing education standards.

1 year as a staff or student technologist
Preferred Experience:
3 years as staff technologist
Education:
Minimum Required Education:
Successful Completion of JRCERT accredited education program
Preferred Education:
Associate or Bachelor's in Radiologic Science
    Licenses:
    Minimum Required Licenses:
    Kansas State Board of Healing Arts LRT.
      Certifications:
      Minimum Required Certifications:
