Weekend Worker Program | Saturday & Sunday | 2 x 12-hour shifts | Work 24 hours and get paid for 36 hours | Flexible start/end times Your Weekends Can Change Lives. As an MRI Technologist , you'll combine advanced imaging expertise with compassionate patient care, helping create a calm and reassuring experience for every patient who walks through our doors. If you're looking for a schedule that offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact, our Weekend Worker Program gives you the opportunity to work 24 hours and be paid for 36 , all while being part of a supportive, faith-based healthcare team committed to whole-person care. The MRI Technologist performs high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role safely positions and assists patients, operates MRI equipment, administers IV contrast when appropriate, and ensures exceptional image quality while maintaining compliance with MRI safety standards, departmental protocols, and all applicable regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and quality standards. Position and assist patients safely to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while promoting patient comfort and safety. Educate patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast administration, and safety precautions. Prepare and administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols while monitoring patients for adverse reactions. Maintain MRI exam rooms by ensuring they remain clean, stocked, organized, and ready for patient care. Perform routine equipment cleaning and safety checks and report equipment concerns promptly. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record and PACS systems. Follow MRI safety guidelines, patient identification procedures, informed consent requirements, and departmental time-out protocols. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate quality patient care. Practice infection prevention standards, including proper use of PPE and approved disinfectants. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to communicate effectively and work with people from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of MRI procedures and MRI scanners. Knowledge of MRI safety practices and radiation safety principles, including ALARA. Basic IV competency. Ability to perform MRI procedures independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Experience with PACS and radiology information systems preferred. General knowledge of anatomy and physics. Ability to quickly learn departmental policies, procedures, and new technology. Ability to maintain required continuing education, licensure, and registry requirements. Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining exceptional patient care. Education High School Diploma or GED — Required Associate Degree — Preferred Experience One year of radiology experience and completion of an MRI training program — Preferred Licensure & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) — Required Registered Technologist•Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) — Required OR Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) — Required Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the department or state.
