Mercy is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT imaging procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary care teams. Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols. Prepare, educate, and position patients for CT exams, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the procedure. Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment, adjusting technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Apply radiation safety and dose optimization principles to protect patients, staff, and self in compliance with regulatory standards. Establish and maintain IV access, administer contrast media per protocol, and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Utilize PACS, RIS, and EMR systems for image acquisition, documentation, and workflow management. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to prioritize studies, communicate urgent concerns, and coordinate patient care. Assist with emergency and trauma CT examinations, responding quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment, adhering to infection control and equipment maintenance procedures. Participate in rotating shifts, on-call, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required to support continuous patient care. Engage in ongoing education and competency assessments to remain current with CT imaging advances and Mercy standards.
