Job Description:
Operates Radiologic equipment to produce clinical radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologists and performs diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the technologist performs radiographic examinations of the breast as requested by a physician.
Requirements:
Associate's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency that the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) recognizes, or military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required. Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required. Registered or Registry Eligible by the ARRT required. Certification in mammography within one year of hire required.
Preferred Qualifications:
One to three years of experience as an RT preferred. Mammography experience preferred. BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire.
