Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team, providing expert radiologic imaging services to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. In this vital role, you will operate advanced medical imaging equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and ensure the highest standards of radiation safety and patient comfort. Duties Operate a variety of radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray, CT (Computed Tomography), PET (Positron Emission Tomography), mammography, DEXA scans, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Assist in urgent care and emergency room procedures by performing rapid imaging assessments for trauma and acute conditions. Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging processes. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the exam. Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to evaluate images for clarity and accuracy, supporting diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure all medical equipment is operated safely and maintained properly while adhering to aseptic techniques during invasive or sterile procedures. Requirements Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment including X-ray, CT, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Prior experience working in urgent care settings or Level I/II trauma centers is highly preferred. Demonstrated understanding of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols effectively. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse patient populations. Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with specialized training in mammography or nuclear medicine preferred. Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment safely while maintaining high standards of quality control. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy, interventional radiography, ultrasound (sonography), physiology knowledge relevant to diagnostic procedures.
