Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Demonstrated experience as an IR Tech with strong knowledge of imaging procedures Proficient in radiographic and fluoroscopic techniques Familiarity with hospital policy implementation and regulatory standards Ability to train and mentor colleagues and students Strong collaborative and communication skills Commitment to maintaining a high standard of medical ethics and patient care
Key Responsibilities:
Perform imaging procedures using pulsed x-ray energy for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes Apply sound professional judgment and uphold medical ethics throughout patient care Collaborate closely with coworkers, medical staff, and leadership to ensure optimal workflow Guide and support the onboarding and training process for new staff and clinical rotation students Routinely verify patient information and procedure orders; document all relevant events in the electronic health record Adhere to hospital and departmental protocols, ensuring patient and staff safety through proper radiation protection and the ALARA principle Coordinate exams with nursing and transportation staff, proactively planning daily patient flow Assist Radiologists with specialized exams and support authorized providers as needed
