Travel CT Technologist Job Details:
Location:
Houma, LA 70363Duration:
12 weeksShift:
3x12sNights Weekly Pay:
$2,862/week (Including stipends)Job Responsibilities:
- Review medical orders, explain scanning procedures, check for risk factors or allergies, and address patient anxiety or claustrophobia.
- Properly position patients on the examination table to capture exact body areas, start IV lines, and ensure comfort and safety during the scan.
- Safely administer oral or intravenous radiocontrast agents to enhance image clarity while monitoring for any adverse or allergic reactions.
- Operate multi-detector CT scanners, set proper technical parameters, perform regular calibration and warm-up sequences, and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience is required.
Certifications Required:
- Current active ARRT (CT) certification.
- BLS (AHA)
Education Required:
- Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences.
