Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team. The technologist will perform high-quality mammographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing breast disease and related conditions. This role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using digital mammography equipment. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and accurate imaging. Apply radiation safety measures and comply with MQSA and ACR guidelines. Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper documentation in
PACS/EMR
systems. Assist radiologists with specialized procedures such as stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations. Maintain and troubleshoot mammography equipment; perform daily quality control checks. Educate patients about the procedure and address questions or concerns. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with HIPAA regulations. Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and participate in continuing education. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography (R.T. (R)(M)). Current BLS certification. Minimum 1 year of mammography experience (outpatient experience preferred). Knowledge of digital mammography systems, PACS, and quality control procedures. Strong communication and patient care skills.
Requirements Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required. Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic. Technologists Registered in Mammography. Current ARRT/Mammography certification. Trained in digital mammography. X-Ray experience preferred. Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions. and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions. Minimum of 1 year of experience required in Mammography and related testing and Quality Control in Mammography.
