Located along Mount Hope Bay, Fall River offers scenic waterfront views, historic mills, and an energetic downtown with locally owned restaurants, cafes, and cultural venues. The city's strong Portuguese-American influence adds to a unique and welcoming community feel, with excellent bakeries, markets, and festivals. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby Southeastern Massachusetts Bioreserve and Fall River Freetown State Forest, which provide miles of trails for hiking, biking, and nature exploration, as well as access to lakes and green spaces that offer a peaceful break between busy shifts. This position is based in a modern hospital environment that supports high-quality patient care and advanced imaging services. The radiology department is designed to provide efficient, patient-centered workflows with contemporary CT equipment, digital imaging, and integrated electronic medical records. CT technologists are supported by an interdisciplinary team of radiologists, nurses, and support staff who value communication, safety, and continuous improvement. The work environment emphasizes collaboration, ongoing education, and adherence to best-practice imaging and radiation safety standards. As a CT Technologist in this role, you can expect to perform a wide range of CT examinations, including routine outpatient studies, inpatient imaging, and emergent exams from the emergency department. Typical day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing imaging orders for appropriateness, verifying patient identity and clinical history, preparing and positioning patients for exams, establishing IV access and administering IV contrast per protocol, and performing high-quality CT scans tailored to the clinical question. You will be responsible for monitoring patients during and after exams, recognizing and responding to contrast reactions, and escalating any critical findings to radiologists and clinical teams in a timely manner.
