Job Description Position Objective:
Performs routine and complex M RI procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards and the special needs of patients.
Essential Job Duties:

Processes MR I scan sequences; verifies demographics and technical information; checks technical quality of images. 2. Participates as a member of a specialized medical team in performing specialized MR I scans of various organs and in preparing patients for specific procedures. Reviews pathology, surgical, and other reports to monitor patient progress and provide a means for evaluating the accuracy of MR I examinations. 3. Constantly assesses patient's condition and administers first aid as required; assists physicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies. 4. Confers with the Supervisor to recommend changes, report problems and provide feedback on improving patient care, technical quality and clerical functions. 5. Monitors equipment performance and reports problems to the Manager; records malfunctions as required.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a one-year accredited program in MRI Technology or
ARRT MRI
certification
  • Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
Required License/Certifications:
  • Current State of Maryland Licensure (preferred)
  • ARRT (MRI) or ARMIRT (required)
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS (required)
